Shaikh Mohammed opens 48th Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, opened the 48th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition this evening, at the Bahrain National Theater. This exhibition has long served as a platform for showcasing the most notable figures of the Kingdom’s fine art movement, as well as its pioneers and young artists.

In addition to paintings, video artwork, photography, and sculpture, the pieces reflect different schools, artistic trends, and artforms. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa said the support of Prince Salman, enhances Bahrain’s progress across the arts and culture sector, regionally and internationally.

The opening of the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition this year signals the return to normality in the Kingdom and the recovery of the economy after the pandemic. Additionally, the exhibition provides a rich supportive environment for the Kingdom’s creative industry, according to Shaikha Mai. During the exhibition, Jaafar Al-Araibi won the first place Al-Dana Award, followed by Maryam Al-Noaimi in second place and Nouf Al-Rifai in third place among the three annual art awards conferred.
